Adieu 2010
The countdown begins. Bid adieu to 2010 and say hello to 2011 in style! No matter what style of dress you choose (or chose), don't forget to finish your look with jewelry! As Rachel Zoe said, "An outfit with no jewelry is no outfit at all!"

purse 'n boots
When I came across Ashley's blog, purse n' boots , it was love at first sight. She exudes effortless style that seems to be inborn - not to mention, she's a sweetheart! Yeah, Ashley's one of those girls that makes looking good look easy. No wonder she's the web stylist for Planet Blue. So, the ceek girls were so excited when she wore the Oval Art Deco Ring in one of her recent posts! Be warned: the only downside to keeping up with her blog is that she makes me want to have every single thing she wears! We love you Ashley! Don't forget, you're our "muse"!

Channel Your Inner Bohemian Goddess
I wanted to share these AMAZING photos of Natalie Hockey for Harper's Bazaar Australia in October 2010 issue. I'm obsessed with anything and everything bohemian chic right now so these images took my breath away. Love the different textures, colors and layers of different fabrics just piled on together.
Time to channel my inner bohemian goddess now.

Addicted to Chanel!
I mean, how could you possibly not be? Apparently, we are not the only ones crazy about Chanel. The genius behind Chanel, Mr. Karl Lagerfeld, had some of the most beautiful ladies at his Spring 2011 show. Kiera Knightley (how fab is her new short do!), our fave Rachel Bilson, Vanessa Paradis, Leigh Lezark, Alexa Chung, Clemence Posey and Claudia Schiffer (who doesn't seem to have aged a day) were among the many who have shown their support at the Grand Palais.
And she's baaaack!! Legendary model Ines de la Fressange, the face of Chanel back in the 80's, walked the show in a black sheer floor-length gown. Also, model Brad Kroenig and his son walked the runway in matching boucle, of course. Too cute!
Also, the setting of the show has not gone unnoticed. We found out from Jim Shi's tweets that the runway was 1148 feet long, covered in white gravel and faux black stone. The runway was so big, it took 5 minutes(!) for each model to complete the walk. The black-and white garden with fountains and a live orchestra accompanied more than 80 models strutting down the runway.
Chanel Spring 2011 Collection was magnifique (pardon my French)- no surprise here. We couldn't have been more delighted to see soft pink, peach, pale yellow, gold, sky blue and heaps of black and white of tweeds, chiffons, taffeta and feathers. Words cannot describe Mr. Lagerfeld's creations. We get the chills every time and his Spring 2011 RTW was definitely no exception.
Mr. Lagerfeld once said, "When I took over Chanel, nobody wanted it anymore. People said don't touch it, it's dead, it's over." Well, he definitely proved them wrong. We bow to you, Mr. Lagerfeld.

Obsession of the Week!
Here's a list of things we just can't get enough of this week:
1. Eve Lom Cleanser/Makeup Remover- this just makes our skin GLOW (not greasy glow btw)! It's definitely not cheap but a 100ML jar lasts at least 2-3 months. The only downside is that we can't ever go back to other makeup removers!
2. Essie Mint Candy Apple - summer seems to be back for us hotter than ever (100 degrees today)! This not only sounds pretty but looks oh-so-cute on our nails as well!
3. Gossip Girl- gossip, drama, lies, and crazy cat fights. The good, the bad, and the ugly all in one place with jaw dropping fashion. Couldn't possibly ask for more. It's our #1 guilty pleasure! We can't wait for Monday nights!
4. Ombre- not the fabric! It's the new IT hair of the moment. Celebs like SJP, Nicole Richie, Alexa Chung, Drew Barrymore, Lauren Conrad and Rachel Bilson are fabulously rockin' this trend. And the best thing about this new look? It's low maintenance, which means less time AND $$$ spent on your stylist's chair. Hair trend that actually allows roots to be acceptable? Loves it!

New York Fashion Week Overdose
We were just daydreaming about cardis and yummy knits for fall/winter but as soon as Fashion Week arrived, we were drooling over spring and summer wear from the runways. There were a lot of "major" and "I die" moments (we love using the words from Ms.Zoe's dictionary).
Fashion was what everyone talked, read and breathed about this past week. We were excited to get daily front row tweets from fashion journalist Jim Shi, creative director of ELLE Magazine's Mr. Joe Zee, our favorite celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe to designers tweeting themselves!
Look forward to neutral pallettes. Nude is HUGE this fall/winter with butterscotch, camel and caramel shades and it seems like their cousins (a cooler tone with grays) are going to join the family until Spring '11.
Joe Zee tweeted, "Seriously ladies, start buying pretty underwear now. Better yet, hit the gym. So far, everything for spring is super sheer."
Great, another reason why we should hit the gym.
Overall, we are most excited about the return of the wide-leg/flared jeans.
It looks like we're going to have to say au revoir to our skinnies for now and invest in a pair (or pairs) of chunky platform heels to get those supermodel legs to complete the look.
Here are some of our favorite looks from the runways (photos from www.elle.com):
Anna Sui
Rebecca Taylor
Derek Lam
Marc Jacobs
Marchesa
Do you have your favorites? Do share!

Flowers+Jewelry = Happiness
For the last week or two, we had nothing but gloomy weather. We were wearing daisy dukes and burnout tanks one day and all of a sudden, we were wearing jeans and lightweight cardigans. Even though I'm anxiously waiting for fall's arrival (hello yummy knits and goodbye tank tops!), Carter is begging for the CA heat to extend its stay.
Finally, after a week or so of gloomy skies, the sun finally peaked out today. Perhaps that it was so pretty outside, I had an urge to go out and get some pink roses. I put them next to a tray, which is piled on with some of my jewelry, and it was as if the dark and gloomy days are behind us (for now) and an arrange of colors from the roses and jewels brighten up my mood. Especially when the sun is shining too! Tells us, what makes you = happy?

Jennifer Aniston's Look For Less
We adore Jennifer Aniston ever since she was a spoiled but lovable Rachel on our all time favorite show Friends. She always makes stylish appearances, whether she's dressed in boyfriend jeans and a white t-shirt in US Weekly or in a gorgeous Valentino gown on a red carpet.
The CEEK girls love Jennifer's effortless style and she certainly didn't disappoint us in the movie, He's Just Not That Into You. We cried and laughed but what caught our attention was her wishbone necklace she was wearing throughout the film.
You can get Jennifer's look here for less! Carry the luck around your neck all day long with CEEK's Lucky Wishbone!
